The world of music journalism is a vile, corrupt and irredeemable cess pool, where greed driven grift and ego feeding gate keeping run rampant and unchecked.

However, with effort and dedication, it might be possible to make it worse...

This quasi-cultural review/faux late night style program is a tool of shameless promotion, but for worthy artists, venues and events around the city of Portland,  G'Odd takes on the role of some ill conceived talk show persona mixed with that of an shamefully unqualified journalist, and Reports back to the viewer from the frontlines of the music and arts underground.

Though the format and delivery are often absurd or ridiculous, much of the content is certainly not.

Recurring segment "Open the Mic Up" has highlighted an open mic scene currently thriving in Portland.  Features and performance clips with artists networking in the "Secret Society" has shed light onto an emerging new, weird rap crew nesting among other genres and artistic mediums.

With a little help from a rotating cast of conspirators, the first season of Reporting from Oddlandia has showcased some exceptional individuals and happenings around the city in 8 episodes and an offshoot documentary.

It is hope that the show can become a more regular staple of the Hijack and expand coverage both here and beyond the city gates.

G'Odd will once again be Reporting from Oddlandia when season 2 begins this spring.
